Hi, I’m Allison Praul! I am currently a Social Media Specialist at Julie Parker Communications, a boutique firm specializing in crisis communications and media relations.
I earned my master’s degree in Advanced Media Management from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, one of the nation’s leading communications schools. Before that, I graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.A. in Sports Media and Analytics and a minor in Leadership and Social Change.
During my time at Virginia Tech, I worked with Virginia Tech Athletics as a HokieVision Production Specialist and held several leadership positions within Chi Omega, including serving on the executive board as Front-of-House Recruitment Chair and the Director of Philanthropy. These experiences strengthened my creativity, teamwork, and leadership skills — and deepened my appreciation for the storytelling power of sports. I take great pride in being a member of the nation's largest sorority, Chi Omega, and in representing both of my alma maters.
I’m passionate about digital brand strategy, authentic storytelling, and the sense of connection that sports and social media can create. As an avid sports fan, I love how the industry brings people together and I bring that same spirit of community and enthusiasm into my work every day.
Outside of work, I'm a lover of dogs, pickleball, and iced coffee. Excited for any opportunity to connect and chat to spread the power of community and joy within the industry!
